'Ar gyfer heddiw'r bore' ('For this very morning') is a Welsh plygain carol, with the words written by David Hughes (Eos Iâl) in the nineteenth century. A very famous recording of it was made by the Froncysyllte Party in 1967 in the plygain style. Since then it has been recorded by a number of artists, including Hogia'r Wyddfa, Meredydd Evans and Bryn Terfel. It's natural enough for Phil Gas to take his place amongst these greats, with his own unique version!
